When I first received this book, I was extremely excited to read it. I have always loved church history as well as Roman history and couldn’t wait to pick this book up. Unfortunately I could not seem to get into it at all, and ended up setting it aside. The dialogue was boring, and some of the topics made me more uncomfortable, especially for a book that from the outside looked to be a pleasant young adult read. My rating of this book is 2 stars because I was not able to even finish it halfway, but I will keep it on my future tbr to try again.
